Mentroship-Community Awareness Program2010
   History

In 1995 Ben Gurion University had one female Bedouin graduate.  Since Alnuhud began operating and collaborating with our partners, there have been more than 700 graduates of institutions of higher education across the Negev.  Alnuhud has given more than 440 scholarships to female Bedouin students and over 120 graduates of the Pre-Academic program were accepted to institutes of higher education.



Pre Academic Program
 
Aims of Alnuhud:

1. To encourage and to broaden women’s education from nursery age to the academic level.

2. To change the community’s perception as to the awareness of the right of women to higher education and its importance and its obligation to the issue.

3. To reinforce the obligation of the authorities as regards women’s education in the Negev.


4. To initiate programs for professional training and education suitable to the character and needs of the Bedouin community in the Negev.

5. To encourage and to broaden the commitment and communal involvement within the Bedouin community.
